The annual college entrance exams are taking place right now in Taiwan. Here are the questions on the Physics paper that highschool grads (sic!) are expected to answer (all in 80 minutes!). It is of course beyond me to translate all these questions for you, but let me translate just Question 2 to give you a taste. Now we see why TSMC is so successful in the semiconductor industry! Question: For masks that have been contaminated with flu-like (e.g.Covid) viruses, ultraviolet light in the C band can destroy the DNA and RNA structure of these viruses, thereby killing them. If we use an UV-C light source of power 6,600 uW/cm2 and shine it directly at the mask for 2 sec.,how many photons are emitted in these 2 sec per cm2? (Planck's constant h=6.63 × 10**34 J.s, speed of light c=3.0 x10**8 m/s) (A) 2.4 x 10(**13) (B) 6.4 x 10**14 (C) 8.4 x 10**15 (D) 1.7 x 10**16 (E) 9.6 x 10**17 Here is the article with all the exam questions if you are interested. https://udn.com/news/story/121427/4675955?from=udn_ch2_menu_v2_main_index
Hi,

E = N*h*c/lambda
und
P = E/t
Nils
